Beauty

Beauty n. The quality that gives pleasure to the mind or senses and is associated with such properties as harmony of form or color, excellence of artistry, truthfulness, and originality.

What each of us sees as beauty is different. Even then, beauty is not just what we see.  We sense and feel beauty. Beauty inspires or reinforces our desires. Beauty is one of the many things we look to achieve in life. It’s sad that what we define as beauty in pop culture today is exclusive. Not only that, but beauty encourages dieseases such as anorexia and bulimia. Until we begin to see and delight in the beauty in front of us rather than searching for something that is better, we will never be satisfied.

Peace

Peace n. Inner contentment; serenity: peace of mind.

Peace is utterly wonderful. However, it can seem utterly unachievable. We all look for a balance in life, trying to find peace within ourselves and with the rest of the world. Finding peace is not simple. Only by living simply can peace be found. Living in today's complicated world, living simply seems complicated. Luckily, that's really the only hurdle you need to overcome.

Alone

Alone adj. being apart from others; solitary.

Being alone isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes it allows yourself to see who you really are underneath it all. Sadly, that can also work against you. It can be disappointing to examine yourself and realize that what you really wanted, in the beginning, was never achieved. You could have lived every day to the fullest and you still may regret some decisions. It always help to have a plan. The time you spend alone trying to find what you want in life pays off later. Opportunities come and go. Knowing how to determine what the opportunities are always helps.

Hope

Hope n. a feeling that what is wanted is likely to happen; desire accompanied by expectation.

We all live with hope. Hope is what keeps us from being happy with what we have now. We put hope in the future that life will be better, that the work we do now must be done to meet this better time in life. Sadly, sometimes we never reach that point in life. Hope is a powerful concept.
